Bio

Barbara Gutierrez was born, raised and is currently thriving in Miami, FL. Barbara’s personal driving forces are practice, detail and the pursuit of moral and social justices. Her detail oriented nature and love for painting inspired her to freelance as a makeup artist. In 2015 she pursued a steady career in the beauty industry and became an esthetician in 2018. Her career in beauty has influenced her to make art about the strength and perseverance of women. Over time Barbara’s illustrations primarily based on female body positivity and consciousness evolved into an all inclusive understanding of inner wellness for both sexes. 

Barbara has been featured as an illustrator and artist in local live art events for the past 3 years, such as the Raw Miami, Holiday Rawk event in Revolution Live in 2017. She was also a key illustrator for a large-scale video projection mapping collaboration for the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra’s, 85th year anniversary, Live Arts event in 2015 at the Van Andel Arena in Michigan. Barbara graduated in 2020, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design at New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL. She is presently making new anatomical wallpaper art, textile designs and vector illustrations.
